How does the rental process work?
1) Use our site or call/email our representative for assistance in selecting a Snowshoe condo for your vacation.
2) We email you a rental agreement
3) You sign the agreement and send it back to us
4) You pay by paypal or credit card
5) We email you a code that will give you access to the condo during your stay at Snowshoe.
How can I learn more about Snowshoe Mountain?
Snowshoe Mountain is a great ski destination on the East Coast, offering the best terrain in the mid Atlantic. Due to the high (5000') elevation Snowshoe receives a tremendous amount of snow each winter. Where are your Snowshoe condos located?
All of our condos are located at the top of Snowshoe Mountain. Click on the map picture below to see a full size map of the Snowshoe Mountain Resort. You can find the Summit, Whistlepunk, and Snowcrest buildings on the map and see their proximity to the slopes and Village.
Are your Snowshoe condos near advanced or beginner trails?
All of our condos are located next to ski terrain that is suited to both advanced and beginner skiers. Our Whistlepunk Condo is right on a green (easy trail) and directly across the street (walking distance) to the Western Territory - the best and longest Black Diamond terrain in the region. Our Snowcrest condos are walking distance to the Soaring Eagle Lift where you can ski green, blue, or black runs including Widowmaker and the three new black diamond trails added in 2008. What if I have questions or need assistance while staying at your Snowshoe condo?
We work closely with the onsite property managers for each condo. We inform them of your arrival and departure dates, and provide you with their contact information. You will be treated with the same level of service and support as if you had rented directly from the Mountain Lodging. When you make your reservation you will be dealing with an owner representative, and you are also able to engage their services if you need additional support during your stay.
Are there other activities or points of interest while staying at your Snowshoe accommodations?
Yes absolutely. Snowshoe is an ideal place to stay and explore numerous interesting and exciting places within driving distance of our Snowshoe accommodations. The list includes the Green Bank Radio telescope (as large as 2 Football fields), the Cass Scenic Railroad State Park, the Monongahela National Forest, and the Greenbrier River Trail. Visiting these great attractions includes fun activities like train rides, hiking, biking, golfing, and horseback riding to name a few. What does it cost to rent your condos and are there extra charges like cleaning or parking?
The nightly price for each condo is listed on the web page for each specific condo. Prices vary by time of year, and weekends and holidays are higher than weeknights. When you inquire about a condo you will be provided a price based on the nights you wish to stay. The quoted price will state if cleaning is included. Parking is always included. Tax is not included in the nightly price. Tax is 12%. In addition, you will need to pay a security deposit of $300-$500. The security deposit is returned to you after you check out and the cleaning service has inspected the condo for damage.
What form of payment to you accept?
We accept credit cards and paypal. If the reservation is far enough in advance we can also accept a personal check. The security deposit will be refunded back to the paypal or credit card account that was used to pay for the reservation.
After I rent your condo, how do I receive the keys?
Each condo has an electronic lock that will accept an access code we provide to you, so there is no need to mail you keys, and there is no risk in you losing keys and getting locked out. This also allows you to reserve last minute, as we can email the access code as soon as payment is received.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed. This is the policy of the Condo Building Association, not the policy of the homeowner, and there are no exceptions. If you bring a pet the building managers will ask you to leave, and you will not be entitled to a refund.
Do you accept last minute reservations?
Yes we do accept last minute reservations. Since the whole process can be transacted over email and phone, as long as you have access to a computer with an Internet connection, we can accept your payment and email you the access code for the condo the day of your trip.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
If you must cancel your reservation, we will refund 100% of the security deposit. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will receive a 50% refund of any rents paid and the remaining 50% will be credited to a future rental.
What should I bring?
Paper towels, kitchen sponge, shampoo, extra garbage bags, calling card, groceries, coffee, and condiments. If your unit has a wood burning fire place bring matches and fire starter. If your unit has a hot tub (or you plan to go to the Split Rock Pool), bring a bathing suit and water shoes/flip flops. Cloths detergent if you plan to wash cloths.
What will the condos have in them?
Soap, toilet paper, sheets, blankets, towels, coffee filters, cooking utensils, pots and pans, silver ware, plates and glasses, coffle cups, coffee maker, toaster. Some units have blenders and crock pots, but you should verify your unit has this if you need it.
